聯合國政府間氣候變遷專門委員會 (IPCC) 公布氣候變遷第 6 次評估報告及第 26 屆聯合國氣候峰會 (COP 26) 上證實地球暖化急速加劇，全球逆轉氣候危機關鍵手段為減碳淨零 (Net Zero)。為減緩氣候變遷對農業衝擊，本會於 2021 年 9 月 1 日成立「氣候變遷調適及淨零排放專案辦公室」並召開全國性會議，積極布署推動策略及路徑規劃，提升產業競爭力並兼顧生態環境永續。

The United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released the 6th Assessment Report on Climate Change and confirmed at the 26th United Nations Climate Summit (COP 26) that global warming is rapidly intensifying, and the key means to reverse the global climate crisis is net zero carbon reduction. In order to mitigate the impact of climate change on agriculture, the Council established the Climate Change Adaptation and Net Zero Emission Project Office on 1 September 2021 and held a national meeting to actively deploy and promote strategies and pathway planning to enhance industrial competitiveness and take into account ecological sustainability.
